Welcome to the Ashfield Junior School website which has been designed to keep parents informed and to give newcomers an introduction to our school, to our staff, our governors and to the children.
I am extremely proud to be the headteacher of Ashfield Junior School. I joined the school in January 2022 knowing of its good reputation in the local area and I have joined a team of dedicated staff who are all fully committed to ensuring every child here receives a high-quality education and school experience.
At Ashfield, we value everyone as an individual and always aim to create a culture of successful learners who are confident and responsible citizens. We strive to provide excellent teaching and learning in a way which will nurture the overall development of children during the time that they are with us. We have high expectations of all our children and staff and we encourage them to have the highest aspirations and to have a growth mindset.
My passions are ensuring the children are receiving a balanced and creative curriculum and experience many real-life experiences so that learning can be brought to life. I look forward to working on this with the staff and children at Ashfield and to develop a curriculum that reflects our school. Our curriculum is important to us, and we are constantly reflecting upon how to provide our children with the best learning experiences.
