Ashfield Junior School has served the community of Bushey since 1845.
We have strong links with our feeder school, Merry Hill Infant and Nursery School; and a number of local secondary schools. Our secondary schools provide us with more specialist support with our curriculum, for example, Watford Grammar School for Girls’ supports us through their artist in residence; Queens’ School support us with sport; and Bushey Meads provides our most able children with extended opportunities in Technology, English, Maths and also offers transition workshops for children in Year 6.
We have also set up a link with St. Margaret’s School and are currently working with them on a number of projects and with the opportunity to use their school and grounds.
We also have links with our Parish Church, St James’, where we hold our annual carol service; and local businesses, who support us in our fund-raising.
Our children participate in a number of sporting tournaments, musical and other events within the local community.
